I've yet to find a MAJOR hamburger chain to match Carl's Jr. YMMV and I
want to know what you think. I used to really think JIB was good, but
they have went downhill. I stopped in Kerrville and ate a burger at
Wendy's and it was disappointing also. Surprisingly DQ's Beltbuster is
very very good. Okay, I know someone will post about a local place, but
that is not what this is about. Its about your take on a MAJOR chain.
Opinions?

Patrick Newman: Oh, come on, Bert! Whataburger, hands down!
Linden Wong Beck's Prime
Editors note: Sorry. 3 locations hardly makes it a MAJOR chain. Shakin' my haid how fast someone broke the rules
John MacDonald: I'm with you on Carl's Jr. for burger chain. They're delicious! Whataburger is great too, but it's not Carl's Jr.
Buddy D. Casto: Any burger is good as long as it has cheese on it!!!!
Larry Houston: Fuddruckers
Allyce Lankford: Never eaten at a Carl's so I have no input LOL
Tim Wheeler: Five Guys Burgers and Fries!
Jason Gipson: Whataburger
Keely McGrew: Whataburger hands down. Years ago, I moved to a small town with my ex husband and he told his friends he was going to take me to the best place in town for dinner. I got all dressed up and he took me to Carl's Jr. To him, that WAS the best food in town. I of course was disappointed, but I would eat there now and then...but once I moved back to Texas and got Whataburger once again, I realized Carl's Jr had nothing on them.
Gary Black: In Kerrville and you had a burger at Wendy's? Burgers and Moore or Brown's the next time you're out this way. Ask the natives, even the recent transplants. Wendy's?
Barbara Green: Is Carl's part of the burger king family that ran away to Canada to escape US taxes?
Barbara Pugh: Carls
Charlie Farrar: try an N and Out if you ever run across them. Good stuff
David Clark: I vote Whataburger also
Tony Dorsey: WATABURGER IS THE BEST BUT IT COST MORE CARL JR S IS VERY HIGH TOO
Angie Gupton Middleton: Five Guys or Whataburger
James Connealy: The wife and I ate at Carl Jr. twice, our first and our last. We like Sonic best of the chain burger joints.
Rayburn T. Beaubouef: I really DO like Carl Jr's, but Red Robin's Royal Burger with the fried egg on top is really my "All-Time" favorite !!!! To me, Whataburger has really gone "downhill", these past few years.
Chris Powell: Culvers if you're ever in MINNESOTA , Dakota's , or Wisconsin
Gilbert Morton: I was gonna say Culvers is one of my favorites. The closest one to me is in Kingwood. Fuddruckers also has a good hangover burger.
Jared Eikhoff: Chains depend on location. I ate a Carl's Jr in Oakland once that tasted like char grilled rat.
Wendy Chaffin: I tried a Carl's Jr cheeseburger this evening because of your post. It was good, but Whataburger is still my fave.
Tracey Wallace Bocksnick: I have to be honest, I've been to ours four times and never been wowed. We need In-n- Out.
